That’s why I avoid people who are overly critical, contemptuous, and negative at all costs, regardless of how close they are to me. I also avoid people who are arrogant, self-centered, close-minded, or rude. And I avoid people who, when “bad things” inevitably happen, their world collapses and they refuse to be consoled.
